All the Pretty Horses

Little Alayna is very in love with horses! She has quit the collection already. Grandma Camille spoils her very much because they share the same passion. (we are hoping to inherit the place because of it) She has her own pony named Pinto (thanks to Grandma). Alayna gave her this name because that is the name of Doras horse and it also is a red and white paint just like Doras! Anyway the big reason for this post is that I was getting SICK if changing diapers. Thought it was time to do the whole potty thing. I have been trying to get her to go for a couple of months but nope she refused! So I decided to turn to bribery! We headed to walmart to let her pick any toy she wanted. Of course it was a horse with a cowgirl. She was determined to open it all night last night but I explained she could open it when she went potty in the toilet. She was not a very happy girl! She carried the box around all night and even slept with it. Come morning, first thing she wants is that horse! "I wanna open it" she would kept whining. I didn't give in!

Meanwhile she had been put in a time out for screaming at her brother when I heard the pitter patter of two little feet run to the bathroom and I heard the lid come up and her adjusting the small seat on the toilet then the angels started singing that sweet sound of potty hitting the water!! YAY!!!!! It worked! First thing she said was "can I open it?"

She has gone a couple of times already but only with the promise of a gum ball in return. The girl knows how to work it! So with the Fourth coming up I am not sure if we can keep it going but it is a start!!





After she went potty in her Dora underwear and her new horse and cowgirl!
